What we can do
for your vehicle

ECU remapping, gearbox tuning, dealer-level diagnostics and more. Mobile from Angus to Moray, or in-house at our Aberdeen workshop.

ECU remapping

Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and custom tunes. OBD Stage 1 remaps from £269.

Every vehicle has an engine control unit (ECU), the "brain" that tells the engine how to run. We recalibrate its software, usually through the diagnostic port, to unlock the power and torque the manufacturer left on the table: more power, more torque, sharper throttle response and often better fuel economy.

Each map is written for your make and model and kept within the limits of your vehicle's components. Most OBD remaps take 1–2 hours.

Economy remapping

Set up for efficiency, with more torque lower in the rev range so you use less throttle. A good fit for vans, fleets and drivers covering big miles.

Gearbox tuning

TCU tunes for BMW ZF automatic gearboxes.

Faster shifts, quicker paddle response and torque limits raised to match a remapped engine. Turn a box set up for comfortable cruising into a sharp, sporty one. Pairs perfectly with an engine remap, and takes about 30 minutes while you wait.

Dealer-level diagnostics

Warning light on or something not right? Our dealer-level equipment goes far deeper than a basic code reader. We read and explain the fault codes in plain English and tell you exactly what's needed to put it right.

Mileage correction

Replaced your instrument cluster or ECU and now the mileage is wrong? We set it to match your vehicle's true mileage. We never reduce mileage to hide a vehicle's real history.

DPF & EGR cleaning

A blocked diesel particulate filter or sticking EGR valve can cause limp mode, poor running and warning lights. We clean them to get your vehicle back to normal.

Workshop jobs

Some work is best done in-house. Our Aberdeen workshop handles the jobs that need more time, a ramp or extra equipment.

Stage 1 – 3 remapping

Three stages. One goal.

Not sure which stage is for you? It depends on what's already fitted to your vehicle. We'll talk you through it.

Stage 1

The perfect first step. Your standard vehicle's settings are optimised to release the power the manufacturer held back. Higher fuel grades can unlock more again.

No hardware needed

Stage 2

For vehicles with upgraded breathing parts like a performance exhaust, downpipe or induction kit. More power means more heat, so an upgraded intercooler is usually part of the package.

Stage 3

The top level for most cars. At the very least it means an upgraded turbo or supercharger, such as a hybrid turbo, with a map written to get the most from it.

Shift faster

Three levels of gearbox tune, each set up for a different style of driving.

Stage 1 TCU

Sporty but economical everyday driving.

  • Better shift points in D
  • Smarter shifting up and down hills
  • Torque limits raised for tuned engines
  • Gear display on the dash

Stage 2 TCU

Quicker acceleration, part and full throttle.

  • Around 25% faster upshifts
  • Faster paddle response
  • Higher torque limits
  • Kickdown delete in D and manual

Stage 3 TCU Most popular

The full sporty setup.

  • Around 50% faster upshifts in manual
  • Rev-matched downshifts
  • True manual mode, no forced upshift
  • Instant paddle response

Remapping FAQs

Your questions, answered

What is ECU remapping?

It's fine-tuning your vehicle's "brain". Every vehicle has an ECU holding the software that tells the engine how to run. We recalibrate that software, usually through the diagnostic (OBD) port, or on the bench for some vehicles, so the engine runs more efficiently. It can add up to 40% more power or improve fuel economy by up to 15%, depending on the vehicle.

How long does it take?

A custom OBD remap usually takes 1–2 hours. Some vehicles, especially those that need bench tuning, can take up to a day. Get in touch and we'll tell you how long yours will take.

Can a remap be taken off?

Yes. Some customers put their vehicle back to standard before returning a lease car or visiting a dealer for warranty work. We can do that for you.

Will a remap shorten my engine's life?

No. Our maps stay within the limits of your vehicle's engine, gearbox and cooling system. We don't chase big numbers by over-tuning. We'd rather give you strong, reliable gains that last.

Why a remap rather than a plug-in tuning box?

A diesel tuning box can only add fuel pressure. A remap adjusts the many settings the ECU controls, for smoother, safer and more complete gains.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, we accept Klarna. Just let us know when you book.
